VirtualTbay is a new way to see any location that can be taken with digital photography. It's like you are right in the middle of it all with total control as to how to experience it with full zoom, pan and "Hotspot" functionality...
Spherical panoramas are created from several wide angle photos shot at the same view point. They are then "stitched" together to form a single seamless image that covers the entire 360' x 180' field of view. Special software such as Quicktime VR, Java and Flash is used to allow interactive viewing of the spherical panoramas. How long can I leave my tour on your website?
Your tour can stay on our servers indefinitely, there is no time limit, they never expire.
Can I put my company information and list all my available tours on your website?
Absolutely, we can create an optional section that would be devoted to your company which would have your company name, logo, relevant information and tours.
I'm in Real Estate can the tours be linked directly from the mls.ca website?
Absolutely, we prefer that you do; that way your tour will get the most exposure possible.
Can you explain the entire process and how it works?
After a location, date and time are arranged one of our photographers will arrive on site, setup and shoot the tour. The images are then processed to create the virtual tour experience. The files are then uploaded, linked to our site and you are notified via email with the link to the tour.
What do you use to display your panoramas?
We utilize cutting edge Flash and Flex technology to display our panoramas on the Internet. The reasons for this are:
- High distribution: Only the Adobe Flash Player must be installed. Flash player has reached an accessibility of almost 99%.
- Multi-platform: Windows, Linux and Mac.
- Easy and quick installation: If a user has not installed the Flash Player or has an older version, the installation/update process is simple and fast.
- Quick start-up: On an average PC the start up process of the Flash plug-in is very quick (normally under one second). Java-Applets for example require a much longer time to load.
I have my own website, but the bandwidth traffic is limited?
If your host limits your monthly traffic then have no fear, we have an unlimited amount of bandwidth available for our clients at no additional charge. A link from your website to the tour is all you would have to add, we can help with that too.
What if I don't have my own website?
No problem, if you don't have a website we will host the tour for you at no additional charge - we are proud to say that our site is up 99.9%.
I have my own website, can I host the tours myself?
Absolutely, we will work with your IT staff to ensure that the tour runs properly and smoothly on your website.

The most immersive panorama experience is achieved using full 360' x 180' spherical panoramas. Spherical panoramas are also known as Quicktime VR's. In a spherical panorama, viewing is possible in both the horizontal and vertical axis. Cylindrical panoramas, which can only be viewed in the horizontal axis, are typically found on the internet. They often lead to a tensed feeling of limited space. Spherical panoramas give the impression of actually standing at the location the panorama was created.

Virtual Tours provide a fully immersive interactive experience of any location. They are created from several panoramas that are connected by links within the panorama.
Imagine viewing a panorama of a kitchen, as you move around the panorama you see the living room entrance. Clicking on the "hot spot" or link to the living room will load another panorama of the living room. Additional content such as pictures, text and web pages can be accessed from hotspots within the panorama.
We also don't restrict the size of the viewing window, all tours start with a fairly large window and you then have the ability to maximize the tour to encompass your entire computer screen to its full potential; this gives you a fully immersive experience - this is something that was previously unheard of before with virtual tours.
What's the point of having a large computer screen or HDTV if you can't use it?
